Recently I asked the author about what he was reading. Wayne's reply:
I recently reread Rebecca Schiff's debut story collection, The Bed Moved. The stories are funny without being slapsticky, weird but not precious, moving yet not sentimental. They would be great models for how to write a contemporary short story if they weren't so original and inimitable.Visit Teddy Wayne's website.
